أجزاء الإختبار

أجزاء إختبار التوفل TOEFL لاتختلف كثيرا فى النوعين سواء الـ(PBT) أو الـ(IBT)، وهو يتألف من أربعة أقسام:

القراءة:

سوف يطلب منك أن تقرأ بضع فقرات من مقالات مختلفة. تماثل تلك التى تدرس على المستوى الجامعى، والإجابة على الأسئلة التى تلى كل فقرة فى شكل إختيار الإجابة من بين خيارات متعددة (MCQ= Multi Choice Questions)، والأسئلة وضعت بهدف تقييم فهمك أثناء القراءة للحقائق الرئيسية، والمفردات والأسلوب اللغوى.

الاستماع:

وفى هذا الجزء ستسمع مقاطع من محادثات أو مؤتمرات. أغلبها عن الحياة الجامعية مثل محادثة بين طالب ومدرس أو محاضرة فى مجال دراسى ما، والأسئلة هي أسئلة اختيار من إجابات متعددة وتسألك عن التفاصيل والإقتراحات وكلمات لغوية، وهى مقاطع مألوفة وعادية جداً فقد تسمع كلمات مثل "إيه" أو"ممم" أو تأوهات أحيانا أثناء المحادثة.

التحدث:

وهذا يكون عبارة عن الحديث عبر ميكروفون يسجل ماتقول، وفى وقت لاحق، يستمع الممتحن إلى إجاباتك ويقيمك وفقاً لذلك، وستجد سؤالين عن أمور شخصية مثل سؤالك عن بلدتك أو المدرس المفضل لديك، وفى سؤالين أخرين، عليك أن تركز معلوماتك من النص أو المحادثة أثناء عرض أرائك، وستجد أسئلة أخرى تطلب منك تلخيص معلومات فى صورة محادثة قصيرة.

الكتابة:

فى النهاية، سيكون عليك كتابة مقالتين قصيرتين. ففى الامتحان الورقى(PBT)، سيتم إعطائك موضوعات هامة للكتابة عنها. مثل كيف غير الإنترنت حياتنا أو إذا إستطعت تغيير شيء واحد فى بلدك، ماهو هذا الشىء. وفى النوع الثانى(IBT)، سوف تحتاج لتحليل مواد من نص أو محاضرة تُعطى إليك ويكون عليك كتابة مقالة نقاشية، تحلل فيها المعلومات المعطاه.
